Rev. William Parsons

The Rev. William Parsons III was installed August 8, 2004 as pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fairhope, AL. The Rev. Daniel Thies, of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Milton, Fla. preached at the installation and Pastor Harold Hoeferkamp, of Gulf Shores, AL, was the liturgist. The installation was performed by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod’s Southern District President, Rev. Kurtis Schultz. A reception followed the installation for those in attendance. Pastor Parsons is a 1998 graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne. Ind. where he earned his Master of Divinity. Prior to ordination in 1998, Pastor Parsons served one year as vicar at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, from 1996 to 1997, in Moline, Ill. He also has a Bachelor of Arts in History and Journalism from Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, Kentucky. He graduated WKU in 1990, and attended Regent University Law School in Virginia Beach, Virginia, before moving to Indianapolis, Ind., where he became an assistant editor for the Business Journal of the National Retail Hardware Association’s flagship book- Do-It-Yourself Retailing.  Pastor Parsons is also a 1st Lieutenant and Chaplain in the The United States Army Reserves.
Pastor Parsons is married to Melissa Ann (Floreancig) Parsons and they have five children: Elizabeth,17; Will,15; Maria,13; John,11 and Katherine,9.
 

 

Associate Pastor
Rev. Ross Johnson

Ross Johnson was born in Palo Alto, California, and grew up in Orange County, Southern California. From 1995-2000 Ross worked at the Christian Research Institute as a research assistant, researching the cults, occult, aberrant Christian teachings, world religions, and other issues that face the Christian faith and the modern culture for the nation wide Bible Answer Man radio broadcast. On August 17, 1996 Ross married Mireya Alvarez. They both attended Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California. In 2000, he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors degree in Business and Organizational Management. In 2000, they moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana to attend seminary. In 2002 Mireya graduated the seminary with a Master’s degree in Religious Studies and is a certified deaconess in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, her first call was to the Seminary in 2005. From 2002-2005 Pastor Johnson was a vicar for World Mission of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Ross and Mireya lived in Guatemala and Venezuela, and he worked as a church planter and theological educator for the Lutheran Church of Venezuela. In 2002, Pastor Johnson entered The United Stares Army Reserves.  He is now a Captain and Chaplain in The United States Army Reserves. Pastor Johnson graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity in May of 2006 and he is currently studying for his Doctorate at the same institution.
